Handcrafted from full-grain leather in our Heritage Brown oiled finish, this leather offers a timeless appearance while preserving the natural strength and character of the hide.
Full-grain leather is the very top layer of the hide, where the fibres are at their tightest and most resilient. Keeping this top layer intact preserves the leather’s natural grain and exceptional durability, making full-grain the strongest form of leather available.
Rather than sanding, correcting, or painting the surface to conceal natural markings, we honour them. These subtle variations are part of what makes full-grain leather so distinctive. It is leather as it has been crafted and valued for thousands of years — resilient, reliable, and made to age beautifully.
For our Heritage Brown edition, we apply a light waxed and oiled finish that enhances the leather’s depth and smoothness. This treatment creates a refined satin feel while allowing the natural grain to remain visible. Over time, the leather develops a rich patina unique to every piece.
Because full-grain leather is naturally unique, no two MAHI products are ever exactly the same. All of our hides are responsibly sourced as a by-product of local farming.
